Friday of Lent

It's the first Friday of Lent and I'm sure nobody wants to hear me bump my gums. So here is a homily by His Excellency Archbishop Fulton Sheen. I'm only posting one but there are five altogether. Please watch them all if you have time they are very good. Hope every one's going to Stations today.
Just one thought before the video, I bet the Blessed Mother made the garments Our Lord wore during His Passion and I bet she knew while she was making it ....praying and crying while she did so. But what do I know?

Dreams

So I am trying to lead a saintly live. Since my conversion back to the Faith I have cut back on a lot of sin. I'm still a rotten sinner with a long way to go but now instead of going to hell at the speed of light, I am now only headed there at the speed of sound.
Anyhoo, since I have been trying to amend my ways the devil has been attacking me in my sleep. Last night I had a dream that I committed grave sin, went to Confession, forgot to confess it then went to Communion. Right after Communion I recalled the sin then fell into despair over the sacrilegious confession and Communion. It really causes me a ton of grief in my dreams. I have also had the dream where I am all of the sudden in line for Communion and I realize that I am wearing jeans and sans mantilla. I guess that is the Catholic girl's version of the dream about going to high school naked.
I suppose it's time to start sprinkling my bed with Holy Water at night! Anything to avoid going here:

Deuteronomy 32
41 If I shall whet my sword as the lightning, and my hand take hold on judgment: I will render vengeance to my enemies, and repay them that hate me. 42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh, of the blood of the slain and of the captivity, of the bare head of the enemies.

Since it seems germane to the topic of hell, here's a good word of the day,
keelhaul
\KEEL-hawl\ verb
Meaning
1 : to haul under the keel of a ship as punishment or torture
*2 : to rebuke severely

A piece of Lenten Wisdom,
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
